Our Parent Meeting - 2025-2026 Academic Year 1st Term

The first parent-teacher meeting of the first semester of the 2025–2026 academic year was held at the Turkish Maarif Foundation's Hargeisa Campus, drawing strong participation. Parents who attended the meeting were comprehensively informed by teachers and administrators about their children's academic, social, and personal development.
At the meeting, our school principal, Mr. İzzet KOYUNCU, thanked all parents in attendance and emphasized the importance of such meetings for closely monitoring students' academic development. Mr. KOYUNCU discussed the educational activities, classroom-based academic studies, and innovations implemented at our school, and particularly emphasized the preparation process for 12th-grade students' university entrance exams, which will be held in 2026. He stated that our school provides both academic and career guidance to ensure every student is well-prepared for the future.
Our principal also emphasized the importance of the YÖS (Higher Education Selection Examination) courses and the language courses offered on thursdays, urging parents to support students' active participation in these programs. He also noted that the provision of books and course materials directly contributes to the learning process.

Our school principal, İzzet KOYUNCU, continued his speech by discussing the renovations and renovations underway on campus and providing information about the changes. He also stated that the improvements will make the Hargeisa Campus more modern, functional, and more suitable for student needs. He concluded by discussing planned new projects.
The second part of the meeting focused on students' individual academic development. Our school vice principal, Mr. Mohamed Ahmed Mohamed, summarized the process:
"I had the privilege of addressing our parents at the school meeting, which focused on distributing report cards and sharing student evaluations for the first semester exams. The purpose of this meeting was to strengthen school-family collaboration. I emphasized the vital role parents play in supporting their children's academic and personal development, as well as the school's responsibility to provide transparent feedback on student performance and progress.
During the speech, I also emphasized the importance of preparing for the upcoming YÖS exam and the Türkiye Scholarships application process, particularly for the January 2026 intake. Parents were encouraged to guide and motivate their children throughout this journey. We concluded the meeting with the shared hope that our joint efforts will lead to greater success and a brighter future for all our students."
Following this, our school's psychological counselor, Ms. Amal OSMAN, addressed key topics such as:
The Importance of the Teacher-Parent Relationship - Communication and Collaboration - Academic Support and Turkish/YÖS Textbooks - School Rules and Student Responsibilities. Emphasizing the importance of regular communication, Ms. OSMAN emphasized the importance of parents maintaining constant communication with the school, stating, "Even small updates make a big difference." She also emphasized the importance of Turkish and YÖS textbooks for students' language development and exam preparation, and emphasized that parents providing these resources and supporting their children will strengthen family-child bonds in education. She also provided information to parents on topics such as school rules, attendance and absences, and students' sense of responsibility.
Our meeting continued with the presentation of gifts to the parents of students who were successful in the 1st Term 1st Exams of the 2025-2026 Academic Year.
Our meeting concluded with hopes for strengthening school-family collaboration and increasing joint efforts for the future of our students. Following the meeting, parents had the opportunity to learn more about our students' academic and social development through individual meetings with teachers. Furthermore, all parents were given on-site demonstrations of the renovations and repairs we have undertaken at our school, providing more detailed information.
