🎓 End-of-Term Celebration on Campus!

The 2025-2026 academic year at the Maarif Schools in Hargeisa, Somaliland, under the Türkiye Maarif Vakfı (Turkish Maarif Foundation) concluded with great enthusiasm, marked by tournaments, events, and farewell programs with the active participation of students, teachers, and parents.

Throughout the semester, our campus fostered an active learning environment through social, cultural, and sporting activities alongside academic studies; football, basketball, and chess tournaments generated great excitement among students. These events, which also attracted significant interest from parents, strengthened the sense of unity and solidarity within our school community.

⚽ The Traditional Football Tournament Was Full of Excitement!

Our school's traditional football tournament featured highly competitive and exciting matches throughout the group stages, quarter-finals, semi-finals, and the final.

Throughout the tournament, where our students competed in the spirit of fair play, teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship were paramount.

The tournament's final match was held on a private artificial turf pitch outside the school, creating an unforgettable atmosphere with the enthusiastic participation of our students, teachers, and parents.

Following the highly exciting final match, class 11/A lifted the championship trophy, and the trophies and medals were presented to the students who placed in the competition.

🏀 Team 11/C became the champion of the Basketball Tournament!

Our traditional basketball tournament, held on campus, was a vibrant event filled with enthusiastic participation and energy from our students.

In the competitions held between the teams, our students demonstrated successful performances in terms of both teamwork and sporting competition.

Following the final match, class 11/C successfully completed the tournament and became the champion, claiming the trophy. The students' fighting spirit and sportsmanlike conduct throughout the tournament were highly commendable.

 ♟️ Strategy and focus were paramount in the chess tournament!

In the chess tournament organized to support the mental development of our students, strategy, attention, and patience came to the forefront. Throughout the tournament, our students competed in a sportsmanlike manner and delivered very successful performances.

In the girls' category, Yasmin Abdullahi Jama from class 10/C.

In the boys' category, Abdiwasa Ali Muhammed from class 12/A finished the tournament in first place and became the champion.

🎥 Farewell programs were organized for our 12th grade students!

Farewell programs were organized separately for girls and boys in the 12th grade, as they completed the final semester of their school life. During these emotional programs, students prepared special video presentations of memories from their school years, giving them the opportunity to reminisce about those past years with their friends.

The fun activities conducted using our students' childhood photos as part of the program created enjoyable moments for both our teachers and students. The activity where our teachers tried to guess the students' childhood photos added a warm and cheerful atmosphere to the program.

During the farewell programs, which were also attended by parents, our students shared the meaning that their years spent with their teachers, friends, and the school environment held for them, and emotional moments were experienced.

🌟 Beautiful memories remain at the end of an era!

As the 2025-2026 academic year draws to a close, all the activities held on our campus have contributed to our students' development not only academically but also socially, culturally, and athletically.

We would like to thank all our dedicated teachers, students, and parents who have always supported us; and we hope that the completed term will be beneficial for everyone.
