The second term parent meeting for the 2025-2026 academic year was held at the Türkiye Maarif Vakfı Hargeisa Campus with high parent participation.During the meeting, the first term was evaluated, and students' academic progress, current situations, and educational plans for the upcoming term were discussed comprehensively.Our School Principal, Mr. Izzet KOYUNCU, delivered the opening speech of the meeting, thanking all the parents who attended and highlighting the crucial role of school-family cooperation in students' success. In his speech, Mr. KOYUNCU emphasized that academic goals for the second semester, ongoing educational activities, and students' individual development are being closely monitored, and he specifically mentioned planning and guidance programs for exam preparation groups.Furthermore, the school principal informed parents about the ongoing preparation processes for international competitions, TEKNOFEST, and similar scientific organizations, emphasizing the importance of students' active participation in such activities. In addition, the principal provided information about the completed renovation and repair process, discussing the physical changes in the school.During the meeting, our esteemed vice principal, Hamze ÖMER ALİ, shared information with parents about ongoing academic studies, project-based learning processes, and practices that support the multifaceted development of students.The importance of encouraging students not only in academic achievement but also in social and scientific fields was emphasized.Our school's psychological counselor, Ms. Amal OSMAN addressed the topics of strengthening teacher-parent communication, supporting students' academic motivation, and developing a sense of responsibility in her speech.Ms. OSMAN stated that regular and healthy communication positively contributes to students' educational process and emphasized the importance of active parental participation in this process.Our Student Affairs Officer, Sacad ABDİRAHMAN, gave an informative speech regarding YTB scholarship applications, the TR-YÖS exam process, and university preparations.During the meeting, certificates were presented to our successful students in recognition of their hard work and achievements throughout the term, and various gifts were given to the parents who attended the meeting.In addition, gifts sent by our Foundation headquarters were presented to our students who achieved success in the international painting competition organized by the Turkish Maarif Foundation with the theme of "Family".Parents were also informed about scholarship opportunities for our students and the international projects our institution is involved in.At the end of the meeting, parents were shown videos showing the before and after of the renovations and refurbishments carried out at our school, sharing the improvements with them.The program concluded with parents having the opportunity to meet individually with teachers to receive detailed information about their children's academic and social development.We thank all the parents who participated and hope that our school-family cooperation will continue to grow for the success of our students. 🌱📚

Somaliland Minister of Education, Training and Science, Prof. Ismail Duale YUUSUF, and his accompanying ministry delegation visited our Hargeisa-Somaliland Campus. The Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Hargeisa, Mr. Ozan PEKİN, also participated in this significant visit. During the visit, the Minister and the Consul General first held a meeting with our school administration.During the meeting, our School Principal, Mr. İzzet KOYUNCU, provided the Minister with detailed information about our campus activities, educational programs, and the school itself. Following this, discussions were held on educational initiatives, collaborations, and future goals. The Minister expressed his satisfaction with the work at our school and listened attentively to our projects.After the meeting, our guests toured the renovated areas on campus and the areas undergoing renovation and repair work. The delegation was given detailed information about the ongoing work on campus. Subsequently, the delegation toured our educational facilities, inspecting classrooms, language rooms, and laboratories, and receiving information from the school administration. The Minister was informed about our TR-YÖS courses designed to better prepare our students for university entrance exams, our supplementary language courses aimed at improving students' language skills, and the socio-cultural activities conducted at our school.Following this, the delegation visited the school's exhibition area. The delegation was given information about the students' work displayed in the exhibition. The students' work and projects were met with great interest by the delegation.Following the exhibition tour, the Minister and his delegation met with our school's teachers, engaging in conversation and receiving information about education and teaching.After the campus tour, a gift was presented to the Minister, and a commemorative photograph was taken. Having completed the first half of the 2025-2026 academic year, our school has entered a mid-term break for both students and teachers.Following a busy period, this short break offers a significant opportunity for both rest and preparation for the new term.At the end-of-term program, a general evaluation of the education and training process was conducted, and discussions were held regarding the activities carried out during the term. Our School Principal, Mr. İzzet KOYUNCU, in his speech, thanked all the teachers who contributed to the academic and social development of the students during the past term, and expressed his appreciation for the students' effort and determination.He also wished the students success in their end-of-term exams and provided information about the exam schedule.Our school's psychological counselor, Ms. Amal Ahmed OSMAN, emphasized the importance of disciplined work and sustainable success in her speech, and wished the students success before the exam period.As part of the program, gifts were presented to students and class groups who demonstrated success in various fields through their activities during the semester. These gifts were given by our school's teachers to students who excelled in academic, social, athletic, and cultural activities, thus encouraging their achievements. During the gift presentations, commemorative photos were taken and students were congratulated.Furthermore, various events and competitions were organized at our school to increase student motivation before the exam period. The international painting competition organized by the Turkish Maarif Foundation with the theme of "Family" attracted numerous students from all over the world. Our school achieved significant international success in this prestigious event.A total of 4 students from our school participated in the competition. Two of our students achieved great success, finishing 6th and 9th in their respective categories.Our 10/C class student Nadire Mustafe YASİN and our 10/A class student Farxan Sharmake AHMED were awarded prizes by the jury for their original and impressive works.This international success achieved by our students is a source of pride for our school, a result of their determined, disciplined, and dedicated efforts.Following this significant achievement, a celebratory program was organized by our school administration.The students' families were invited to the school, and this special moment was celebrated together. During the program, students received various gifts, and both the students and their families were congratulated on their success. The value of their hard work, dedication, and artistic talent was also emphasized.The program highlighted the continuation of international competitions organized by our Foundation and emphasized the importance of our students' participation in these competitions.The program concluded with a group photo session.On this occasion, we wholeheartedly congratulate our students who successfully represented our school internationally, and we thank their families and all the teachers who contributed to their success.

We've added another event to our "Career Days" series on campus. These events aim to increase our students' professional awareness and develop their vision for the future.As part of this, Dentist Dr. Cabdıcasııs Xuseen Calı visited our school and held a valuable discussion with our students.The program began with Dr. Calı sharing her own career journey. She shared with our students the requirements of the dental profession, its areas of work, and the key to success in this field. She also drew attention to the importance of oral and dental health on our overall health. She provided comprehensive information on daily care steps, common misconceptions, and the role of oral hygiene.Throughout the interview, students had the opportunity to ask Dr. Calı questions they were curious about. Dr. Calı inspired our students with her insightful answers, both professionally and personally.In the interactive part of the program, Dr. Cali motivated students by giving them gifts for correctly answering her questions.At the end of the event, our School Principal, Mr. İzzet KOYUNCU, thanked Dr. Cabdıcasııs Xuseen Calı for his contributions to the program and presented him and his team with a gift.The program concluded with a group commemorative photo sessionOur "Career Days" event was a productive and inspiring gathering that increased our students' professional awareness and enabled them to take more informed steps towards the future. "Teachers' Day" was celebrated with great enthusiasm at our Hargeisa-Somaliland Campus.Our Teachers' Day program was attended by the Somaliland Minister of Education, Training and Science, Prof. Ismail Duale YUUSUF, the Turkish Consul General in Hargeisa, Mr. Ozan PEKİN, the President of the Somaliland-Turkey Alumni Association, Prof. Mohamed Osman GUUDLE, the TIKA Hargeisa Representative, Mohamed YUSUF, our school administration, and our esteemed teachers.Our program began with a recitation of the Holy Quran. Our School Principal, Mr. İzzet KOYUNCU, delivered the opening speech, thanking the esteemed delegation for their participation and emphasizing the importance of the teaching profession and its impact on the development of our children.Following this, our esteemed Consul General delivered a speech on the meaning and importance of Teachers' Day.Later in his speech, the Minister expressed his gratitude for the work of the Turkish Maarif Foundation Hargeisa Campus. He spoke about the sanctity of the teaching profession and its impact on future generations.Following speeches highlighting the significance of the day, our program continued with a Teachers' Day dinner. Our guests and school staff enjoyed a meal together, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere.After the dinner, gifts were presented to our esteemed teachers, and a group photo was taken. The gifts were presented jointly by the Minister, the Consul General, association representatives, and our school administration.
